2025-2027 SBDM Parent Representatives
Natalee Cleveland
I am interested in being a second year SBDM member because I am invested in the growth of the school district and this community. These past 3 years on SBDM was great. It gave me the opportunity to see the process firsthand of policy and procedure and to voice concerns for parents as a minority representative. I am running for 2-year term as parent representative for SDBM. I attended Frankfort Independent Schools from Preschool through 12th grade. I graduated from Kentucky State University and will graduate in August from the University of The Cumberlands with my master’s degree in mental health counseling. I am the member coordinator for the Kentucky Public Health AmeriCorps program. I am the vice chair of the Frankfort CARES Coalition and a member of countless other organizations that focus on advocacy of marginalized communities. I have a current 7th grader and a 2nd grader in the school district. I believe it is very important for parents to participate and get involved in their children’s school. I think that I would be a great asset and minority representative for Second Street School site-based decision-making council and help make great decisions for our school, community, and students.
Amber Vaughn
I was born and raised in Frankfort. I attended Good Shepherd School K-8 and graduated from Frankfort High School. I went to college in western Kentucky, but returned back. I am 45 with two children at Second Street School who are young and have a lot years left at the school. We live downtown with their father, Todd Ritter, and our dog Ringo. I work for the Kentucky Division of Water and will hopefully be retiring within the next five years. When that time comes, I hope to be able to mix some of my passions with work endeavors such as cooking, working with animals, children, and/or the elderly. I love all types of music and the arts in general. My family and I love our school family and our community very much and always strive to be active and supportive when possible.
