Agriculture & Science Event, 1st-5th Grades - May 28-30

The SSS PTSA is excited to host a science and agriculture event for 1st–5th grade students from May 28-30 during school hours!

Many Kentucky students are far removed from farming, and the Kentucky Department of Agriculture is working to change that. With its Mobile Science Activity Centers, students across the state can engage in hands-on agricultural experiments that align with Kentucky’s science standards. Students can tour the unit, watch educational videos, and participate in interactive lessons designed to make learning exciting.

The goal is to highlight the connection between raw agricultural products and everyday items, explore various uses of key crops and animals, and emphasize the nutritional benefits of specific commodities.
